This newfound fascination led her to a transformative internship as a project engineer on an impressive 20-story high-rise in Uptown Dallas. In this demanding role, Adriana quickly found her stride. “Communication is my main game for the project and it helps that I love to talk!” she shared enthusiastically, underscoring her natural aptitude for the collaborative and communicative demands of project management. Working incredibly long days – “I put in a 12- to 14-hour day” – she finds immense fulfillment, declaring, “it doesn’t feel like work.” Adriana’s story is a vibrant illustration of how a curious mind, combined with a willingness to learn and adapt, can lead to a dynamic and rewarding career in construction management. Her heartfelt gratitude after my lecture, “Thank you for speaking to our class.
