Step into the exciting world of luxury real estate and sustainable design. Following an exclusive preview of the Elite Auctions at 11322 E. Ricks Circle on September 14th, I invite you to join me for a special pre-demolition tour of my latest ambitious endeavor: the Penthouse Plunge. This unique event will take place from 5 to 7 p.m. at The Claridge, located at 3510 Turtle Creek Blvd., encompassing units 18 A and B. It’s a rare opportunity to explore two magnificent Turtle Creek penthouses before they undergo a dramatic transformation. My vision is to revive these iconic spaces, restoring them to their former glory while infusing modern elegance and sustainable practices. One of these exquisite penthouses is destined to return to the market, offering a future homeowner an unparalleled living experience in one of Dallas’s most prestigious addresses.
Sustainable Luxury: The Art of Renovating with Purpose
Every significant renovation project presents a unique set of challenges and opportunities. While the primary goal is to redefine a space, a truly thoughtful approach extends beyond mere aesthetic upgrades. My philosophy for the Penthouse Plunge at The Claridge centers on “Renovate: Reuse and Recycle.” This isn’t just a catchy phrase; it’s a commitment to minimizing waste, maximizing value, and embracing environmental responsibility in luxury real estate development.
In every major renovation, there are existing elements that, despite their quality or functionality, simply do not align with the new design aesthetic. For my previous Athena renovation, for instance, I successfully donated appliances, custom built-in cabinetry, elegant lighting fixtures, sturdy doors and frames, and even high-end bathroom fixtures. The Claridge penthouses project follows this very same principle. During your tour, amidst an inviting spread of fine wine and delectable nibbles, you’ll have the chance to witness firsthand the array of premium items that no longer fit my specific design plans. These items are not simply discarded; they are being thoughtfully cataloged for donation, considered for bartering with skilled tradespeople, and yes, even made available for direct sale to interested parties.
True respectful renovation stands in stark contrast to the often-depicted HGTV spectacle of reckless sledgehammer-wielding destruction. It’s about exercising diligence, taking those crucial extra minutes to find a new, appreciative home for perfectly usable, often high-value items that simply aren’t “you” or don’t complement the new architectural narrative. This meticulous approach ensures that quality materials and fixtures are repurposed, extending their lifecycle and significantly reducing landfill waste. It’s a win-win situation: you contribute to environmental stewardship and potentially benefit from tax write-offs for your generosity.
For example, complete kitchen and bathroom cabinet sets, often in excellent condition, are highly sought after by housing charities and non-profit organizations dedicated to providing affordable housing solutions. The same applies to solid wood doors, energy-efficient windows, designer faucets, and many other architectural components. By donating these items, you’re not only doing good for the planet but also empowering communities and potentially earning a valuable tax deduction. This sustainable practice embodies the very essence of responsible luxury development.
Treasures Unveiled: Exquisite Lighting and Architectural Elements for Sale
As part of our commitment to resourceful renovation, several distinctive items are currently available for acquisition. Among the most striking pieces are four magnificent, designer-inspired chandeliers, each offering a unique artistic flair reminiscent of renowned glass artistry but without the prohibitive price tag. One of these captivating pieces adorns each of the penthouse entries, with an additional two gracing what will be my future bedroom, currently serving as an elegant office space.
The first of these exquisite fixtures, a clear and white glass chandelier, is prominently featured in the B-unit entry, as seen in the image above. Its intricate design and luminous presence create an immediate sense of grandeur, casting a soft, inviting glow.

In the A-unit entry, guests are greeted by a vibrant red and orange glass chandelier. This stunning piece evokes the mesmerizing beauty of molten lava, making a bold artistic statement. Both entry chandeliers boast an impressive diameter of approximately 24 inches, ensuring they command attention in any luxurious foyer or grand entrance.

The two additional designer-inspired chandeliers found in the office space present a more subdued yet equally sophisticated palette. Comprised of elegant brown, tan, and beige glass, these fixtures exude warmth and understated luxury. The larger of these two measures approximately 60 inches long by 30 inches wide, making it a spectacular centerpiece. Its elongated form is ideal for a spacious dining area or a sophisticated living room. The smaller chandelier is gracefully round, measuring about 20 inches in diameter, perfect for an intimate nook, a refined study, or even a powder room seeking a touch of elegance. These pieces represent exceptional value for discerning buyers looking to add distinctive artistic lighting to their homes.

Beyond the captivating chandeliers, some highly coveted architectural and decorative elements have already garnered significant interest, embodying the spirit of resourceful exchange. A remarkable etched glass panel depicting the iconic Dallas skyline, measuring an impressive 87 by 39 inches, has caught the eye of one of my trusted glass contractors. This exquisite piece, illuminated with sophisticated edge-lighting, captures the vibrant energy of the city. The contractor, recognizing its artistic and decorative value, has proposed a mutually beneficial arrangement: a discount on future glass-related services in exchange for this unique artwork. Such collaborations are a testament to the community-driven aspect of high-end renovation, where skill and artistry are traded for exceptional pieces.

In a similar vein, another distinguished glass contractor is keenly interested in acquiring a second, equally stunning glass piece. This artwork, with its intricate patterns and sophisticated aesthetic, represents the pinnacle of custom glass craftsmanship. The contractor, currently in the process of opening a new showroom, envisions this piece as a powerful demonstration of the extraordinary special effects and bespoke capabilities possible for custom glass projects. The exchange of services for such a display piece not only benefits my renovation budget but also elevates the contractor’s ability to showcase their unparalleled artistry, creating a symbiotic relationship that fuels innovation within the design industry.

Perhaps one of the most significant items available for repurposing is the super-expensive Siematic kitchen from the A-unit. Siematic is globally renowned for its unparalleled German engineering, innovative design, and exceptional quality, making their kitchens a hallmark of luxury. This particular kitchen features exquisite high-gloss lacquered maple cabinetry, a material choice that speaks volumes about its sophisticated aesthetic and durability. What makes this offering even more remarkable is that the kitchen has barely seen any use—a common phenomenon in Dallas luxury homes, where “show kitchens” are often installed for aesthetic appeal rather than daily culinary endeavors. The Siematic design is characterized by its ingenious functionality, boasting a plethora of “secret drawers” and cleverly integrated inserts that transform it into an incredibly efficient and organized culinary workspace. From specialized cutlery organizers to pantry systems that maximize storage, every detail is meticulously crafted to enhance the user experience, combining breathtaking beauty with ultimate practicality.

In keeping with my commitment to sustainable renovation and community support, I have already initiated contact with Habitat for Humanity regarding the donation of this entire Siematic kitchen. Their response has been overwhelmingly enthusiastic, and it’s not hard to see why. A kitchen of this caliber represents a monumental asset for a family in need, providing them with a foundation of quality and functionality that would otherwise be unattainable. This act of donation underscores the powerful principle that when renovating, “one man’s castoff is another’s treasure.” It’s a tangible way to transform what might be considered demolition waste into an opportunity for a new beginning, supporting Habitat for Humanity’s mission while significantly reducing environmental impact. This initiative not only provides a high-quality kitchen to a deserving family but also showcases how luxury real estate development can integrate meaningful social responsibility.
Oh, and I almost forgot to mention the veritable bevy of tube-TVs (some even delightful combos with VCRs!), alongside a few more intriguing leave-behinds. So do come by and check it all out! But let’s be clear: this event is far more than just a high-rise yard sale. Its true purpose is to showcase the “before” state of these incredible penthouses, allowing you, my esteemed audience, to fully appreciate and follow my progress toward the stunning “after.” Better yet, if you fall in love with the inherent potential and luxury of the space, why not make an offer on the A-unit post-renovation? Imagine stepping into a meticulously reimagined penthouse that perfectly blends timeless elegance with modern sustainability. Ha! The possibilities are truly endless.
